In tweets by @volt_app, I see a lot mentions of crashes, crash reporting, crash frequency, and so forth.

I'm curious, are these crashes primarily due to defects in the Volt application itself, or defects in the compiler?

(I understand that V is a very new language, and Volt a very product, so please don't take this question as criticism.)

The UI layer is written in C and Objective C because of Cocoa/WinAPI.

I've been slowly moving all C code to V. Most of the crashes were caused by uninitialized function pointers, V takes care of that.

The tricky part is to translate thousands of bloated Objective-C with its messages, interfaces, etc. But it's doable.

That's reassuring, thanks :-)
